"14 years ago when I first designed this cobalt, orb floor fountain I thought it's explosive color may be too loud for my Atlanta customers.... boy was I wrong. This crystallized, cobalt has become one of my better selling colors. I started using this custom, cobalt blue glaze on my smaller, tabletop fountains and had similar reactions. Now it's a standard color choice in my water fountain line. People here in the south dig the blues!" says Tim Christian Miller.

I took a large clay orb and made a slight indentation on the top. This created an ambient, floor fountain that moves a substantial amount of water over the orb. It sounds great and looks fantastic. Add an overhead light to create a dramatic, conversation piece.

This water fountain goes through a time consuming process before it is ready to be shipped to you. The ceramic orb is carefully crafted to a perfect depth. Then... all of the other parts are removed from the molds and dried for a couple of days, the fountain parts are carefully sanded and hand smoothed.
The mold for the fountain bowl weighs over 300 pounds when full of liquid clay. This is a potential back breaker... so we have to be very careful when making this one! It's sure worth the effort once the final product is removed from the oven.
This huge fountain is then loaded into the kiln (oven) and fired to over 1800 degrees. After cooling down for 10- 12 hours it is removed from the ceramic oven and painted with 3 separate glazes. It is then placed back into the kiln for a second firing.This time consuming process guarantees an excellent, quality floor fountain crafted to last a lifetime. 
The adjustable pump hides under the polished black stones and allows you to create your own "custom sound." Simply adjust the flow control on the pump. The inverted orb gently pours and creates a gorgeous, conversation piece.
