Turn it on and water tumbles magically over weathered, slate rocks imitating a natural mountain brook. It's compact size makes it a perfect table top fountain. The hand crafted, ceramic fountain rocks look real too. And... it's durable, weathered stone finish is easy on the eyes.
This artisan crafted, fountain goes through two separate firings in our ceramic oven. This insures a high quality product that looks terrific and sounds great too.
This super durable, fountain sets up in less than 5 minutes and is easy to clean. The pump can be adjusted to create different water flow levels. The pump has a easy to reach on/off switch built into the cord. Ships with pump, tubing, and all ceramic parts.

First... liquid slip is poured into plaster molds
Seven plaster molds are filled with liquid clay (slip) to create this fountain. We top these ceramic molds off 4-5 times to assure proper thickness. The filled molds sit in the studio for 30-40 minutes depending on the humidity.
Our slip is made from the highest quality clay and crafted in the U.S.A. This guarantees our customers a super durable ceramic product.
Plaster Molds Drying...
The plaster molds are emptied after about 20-30 minutes. This leaves a very thick layer of clay. (We pour our ceramic fountains extra thick to make them super durable.)
The molds are allowed to dry for 4-5 hours... then the green fountain sections are removed. At this stage the clay (called green ware) is very fragile and handled with extreme care.
Greenware is removed from molds and cleaned...
Next... all parts are sanded, sealed and assembled.
The green-ware has been removed from the molds. The wet fountain parts are trimmed and assembled using liquid clay (slip). Custom crafted stilts are built into the top of fountain to create a perfect flowing waterfall. The waterfall section is trimmed so that the pump tubing will fit perfectly.
Fountain is dry and ready to be sanded...
The green-ware is allowed to dry for a couple of days. We sand and sponge it, again, to ready it for the oven. When totally dry, the fragile greenware is loaded into the oven.
Fountain in oven after first firing...
The Mini Slate Fountain is carefully inspected before being placed in the oven and fired to over 1800 degrees. The kiln is gradually heated at 45 minute intervals. The green-ware continues to cook for 6-7 hours. This hardens the ceramic fountain to a rock hard consistency. It is allowed to cool down for 8-9 hours and removed from the (kiln) oven. At this stage the pottery is called bisque.
It's sanded smooth and sponged again. Four separate layers of glaze are applied to all of the separate parts. It is then placed in the ceramic kiln for a second firing.
The fountain is cooked for another 4-5 hours. The second firing at 1700 degrees deeply seals the ceramic surface. It won't be removed from the over for over 24 hours. That's because the glaze can easy crack, if removed too soon.
